Why does the United States continue to support the Israeli incursions into Gaza? There has been an official death toll of 120 Palestinian dead since the IDF made its incursions over the past few weeks. Nothing is said on the US Mainstream Press about the Palestinian deaths while much is made about the assault on the Israeli Para-military school run by the infamous Rabbi Kook who was teaching young Israeli men in the art of war. This attack also happened in East Jerusalem which is really not Israeli territory but is an “occupied status”.
Meanwhile Condoleezza Rice who arrived in the area made a speech about the violence in Gaza, but never mentioned the word “cease-fire”. Apparently the United States has no objection to the decimation of the indigenous people of Gaza since Hama’s won a democratic election in 2006 and took power there in 2007. It would seem that Democracy is what the United States wants for the world, but only if the results are what they wish.

Not Guilty, But Jailed for Five Years

He is a Palestinian, that’s why!
Imprisoned Palestinian activist Sami Amin Al-Arian was found not guilty in court, yet seems the victim of a plan to keep him jailed indefinitely.
This is not in Israel (as usual), but in the “land of freedom and justice“, USA.

The Palestinian activist Dr. Sami Amin Al-Arian, imprisoned for five years despite a jury’s failure to return a single guilty verdict against him, has gone on a hunger strike in Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, Va. Al-Arian, who has abstained from food and water since March 3rd, began his hunger strike after being informed he would be called before a third grand jury. He has lost 15 pounds and has been moved to the jail’s medical unit.
“A great nation is ultimately defined and judged by its system of justice,” Al-Arian said in a statement released through his family. “When the system is manipulated by the powerful and tolerates abuses against the minorities or the weak members of society, the government not only loses its moral authority and betrays future generations, but will also be condemned by history.”
